a short visit to montreal for easter

I finally signed the lease today! 

afterward, i walked around to take some pictures. while on my adventure i discovered a pottery shop a few blocks away that offer classes and unlimited studio time. did i mention that the girl teaching is from france? 

also went to a second hand/vintage store to start looking for cheap furniture. although the tables were disgusting and the store smelt like a fermented attic, i bought the most beautiful mirror for 9$ (just realized that i have gone almost two semesters not using a mirror...)

all this is enough to make my heart melt.

the latest assignment in my design and management class has been to make a timeline of something from the kitchen and study its progression over time. my partner and I chose to do the overall layout of the kitchen. we are now conducting research within the dorms to eventually remodel the kitchens to make the small space more efficient.

rainy days

the past two days have been raining.
rain in the city is horrible because walking is an essential part of my day and when walking 15 blocks the rain is extremely unpleasant. somehow the thought of owning this jacket makes the rain seem much more bearable.
